Science That Sticks- And Students Can’t Get Enough!

Mrs. Snyder, juggles teaching ELA to multiple grade levels along with 3^rd grade science, loves how effortless it is to use. With GLC, the stress of prep disappears leaving more time for teaching and inspiring curiosity.

Mrs. Snyder’s class dove into a unit on Forces, investigating the difference between balanced and unbalanced forces through exciting, hands-on discovery. The highlight of the day? A creative engineering challenge guided by GLC’s “GIG” (Graphic Instruction Guide) and an easy-to-follow instructional video from the Teacher Platform. Students worked together to design and build their own balance scales- experimenting, problem-solving, collecting and recording data in their Student Data Notebooks- just like real scientists.

As the investigation unfolded, the classroom hummed with excitement and ideas. Students made predictions, tested objects, debated results, and celebrated their discoveries. Curiosity filled the air along with laughter, collaboration, and the spark of true engagement.
