Science That Sticks- And Students Can’t Get Enough!

In Paige Snyder’s class at Queen of Peace Catholic School, science isn’t just another subject — it’s the highlight of the day. When third graders are racing to clean up and get to class because they don’t want to miss science, you know something extraordinary is happening.

That “something” is the Grade Level Certified (GLC) Science Curriculum — and it’s transforming the way students learn and how teachers teach.

Designed to be simple, powerful, and student-centered, GLC gives teachers everything they need to bring science to life- ready to go materials , step by step instructional videos, and colorful, student-friendly Data Notebooks that make learning hands-on, meaningful, and memorable. Mrs. Snyder, juggles teaching ELA to multiple grade levels along with 3rd grade science, loves how effortless it is to use. With GLC, the stress of prep disappears leaving more time for teaching and inspiring curiosity.

The results? Students who think, question, explore, and collaborate like real scientists.

“What teachers here appreciate the most is how all the materials are put together. It allows us to feel confident and prepared so students can get the most of the lessons. ”

Mrs. Snyder’s class dove into a unit on Forces, investigating the difference between balanced and unbalanced forces through exciting, hands-on discovery. The highlight of the day? A creative engineering challenge guided by GLC’s “GIG” (Graphic Instruction Guide) and an easy-to-follow instructional video from the Teacher Platform. Students worked together to design and build their own balance scales- experimenting, problem-solving, collecting and recording data in their Student Data Notebooks- just like real scientists.

As the investigation unfolded, the classroom hummed with excitement and ideas. Students made predictions, tested objects, debated results, and celebrated their discoveries. Curiosity filled the air along with laughter, collaboration, and the spark of true engagement.

Mrs. Snyder praised the effortless setup and structure GLC provides. The only complaint of the day came from the students themselves: science time ended too soon!

GLC makes science something students can’t wait to explore. Every lesson is designed to spark wonder, ignite learning, and create those joyful “I get it!” moments that stick long after the lab lesson is over.

With GLC, classrooms like Mrs. Snyder’s become places where curiosity thrives, teachers feel supported, and students see themselves as real scientists- discovering that learning isn’t just about answers, its about the thrill of finding them.
