As Director of Primary STEM Education, Douglas is building a comprehensive, coordinated science training program for general education teachers who use ETHOS Science Kits or who need STEM-related professional development.
Before joining ETHOS, Douglas was a classroom teacher in Elkhart. He taught 6th grade for eight years and 4th grade for two. While teaching, he presented regularly at conferences related to topics of teaching science, STEM, engineering, and the environment. His presentation experience has ranged from the local level to the national level in science education. |
He holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. For the past two years, Douglas lived in Florida, with his wife and daughter, while he had the opportunity to create magic for guests at EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort! He is excited to be closer to family and friends and work to motivate, encourage, and support teachers in STEM education!
