ETHOS' Goal is to support the best science curriculum and instruction available. A hands on, inquiry-centered approach engages students and the ETHOS Matrix of recommended kits is aligned with the state and ISTEP science standards. ETHOS provides science kit management including science kit refurbishment. ETHOS can serve as a district's science materials support center. In addition, ETHOS offers in-depth quality Professional Development for teachers. This training builds on the instructional skills they already possess and provides the key to utilizing the full potential of the hands on curriculum.

Elkhart Science Fair 2012 Information.

The Elkhart Science Fair is sponsored by the Elkhart Community Schools. Students attending non-public schools within the geographic boundaries of the Elkhart Community Schools are welcome and encouraged to participate.
The Elkhart Science Fair will be held this year on Saturday, January 21 at Memorial High School. Entry forms are due January 10.

Science Buddies is a non-profit organization empowering students from all walks of life to help themselves and each other develop a love of science and an understanding of the scientific method. With the help of our Mentors and Advisors, we help students improve their science skills and literacy, and we inspire them to consider additional study or careers in science. click here to open in a new window

Classroom Excellence

Brett Schuler is a 6th Grade Teacher at Cleveland Elementary School. Take a tour with Brett as he guides his class through an Inquiry Based Science lesson. Mr. Schuler received a grant to purchase a Pitsco Straw Launcher, then designed and created Science lessons, and integrated them into other curricular areas. Mr. Schuler is a third year Science Liaison associated with an MSP grant awarded to ETHOS, Elkhart Community Schools and Purdue University.
